You can never go wrong with a Will Ferrell movie, and Semi-Pro doesn’t disappoint in terms of its slapstick comedy and entertainment value. It’s the 1970’s and one-hit-wonder Jackie Moon (Will Ferrell) just achieved the dream of owning a basketball team. Things start to go wrong when he discovers that his franchise, the Flint Michigan Tropics, is the worst team in the ABA league. And as though events couldn’t get any worse, ABA intends to merge with the NBA and get rid of the Flint Michigan Tropics. If the Flints wants to stay afloat, it looks like they’ll have to achieve the impossible and win a game for the first time since they became a team.

Choosing what college to attend is no easy decision to make, and it doesn’t get any easier when you’re a young girl with an overprotective father who isn’t quite ready to let you go off into the real world. College Road Trip is a light and fun family flick that focuses on Melanie’s (Raven-Symoné) first attempt at independence as she plans out a visit to various colleges with her friends. Unfortunately for her, her cop father (Martin Lawrence) insists on accompanying her to keep her straight and safe. Although College Road Trip can get predictable as most Disney films do, this movie has several memorable moments that make it worth seeing.
